Beaches

Estepona has 17 beaches stretching to over 20km of coastline. The closest beaches to or location are La Rada beach and Playa Del Cristo.

Cristo beach is 5 mins west of the port and is a shallow protected cove popular with families. In the high season it is lifeguarded and provides chiringuitos (bar/restaurant) for refreshments.

La Rada is the main beach of Estepona. It is much larger and wider and stretches over 2.5km in length. It is backed by a lovely flower lined promenade which leads to the old town. Along the beach is a whole host of amenities, bars, restaurants to cater everybody.


Port

Estepona's port and marina is working fishing port with a host of bars and restaurants offering the perfect place to sit and enjoy its elegance. The port is also the location of a popular Sunday street market selling mostly textile, leather goods, trinkets and gifts.

Old Town

The historic town of Estepona is known as the old town. It has white washed buildings and flower lined streets which has earned Estepona the title of The garden of Spain.

The town offers plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and small squares to sit try some Tapas, or just relax and watch the world go by.

The indoor market offers stalls selling fresh meat, fish and vegetables.

Orchidarium

The orchidarium close to the old town is a modern botanical park housing over 8000 species of which 1300 are orchids. It has europe's most extensive collection of orchid's and one of the largest in the world. The building has 2 floors with a 17 meter high waterfall to reflect closely the orchid's natural habitat. Selwo Aventura (Highly recommended)

The largest park on the Costa del Sol where you can go on safari. With over 1000 animals spread over 14 hectares, zip line, hanging bridge. It is a new concept of zoo and a tourist symbol of Estepona. The Selwo pack is best value for money where you have a day at the main park, the Selwo marina sea life park in Benalmadena and the Benalmadena cable car which offers magnificent views of the Costa del Sol. At an extra cost there is a bird of prey flight presentation at the top of the cable car.

Golf

The Costa Del Sol is a golfers paradise offering around 64 courses which means there are plenty of courses in and around Estepona to satisfy all levels of golf enthusiasts. 

The local courses are: Estepona golf, Valle Romano Golf, La Duquesa Golf and Country Club, La Resina Golf and Country Club, El Paraiso Golf Club, Finca Cortesin, Dona Julia resort and the recently opened Azata Golf.

Puerto Banus

The famous Puerto Banus is around half an hour drive East of Estepona and well worth a visit. It is renowned for its luxury marina and shopping complex drawing 5 million visitors a year. Soak up the sun and explore the many shops and see the luxury yacht's moored up and super cars usually parked in the area and relax on the sandy beach.

Gibraltar

Gibraltar is around 45 minutes drive from our location. Known for territory owned by the British there is plenty of duty free shopping to be had. Take a cable car to the top of The Rock of Gibraltar and see the free roaming Barbary Macaques which inhabit the area. Gibraltar is also popular with tourists for boat trips along the Gibraltar straight for dolphin and whale spotting. 

Sierra Bermeja

The Sierra Bermeja mountain range is a national park thats sits behind Estepona. The mountain range has an elevation of 550 meters and provides breathtaking views of the Costa del Sol, Africa and Gibraltar. The mountain range can be driven to the top. There are lots of trails for hiking/walking and mountain biking.
